Awwwww sh-t! Here we go again!!!
Above is our latest flyer. For more info, hit the event tab at our Facebook group or email us at info@starrykitchen.com.
This time we wanted to make it… more personal. And as cheesy as that sounds, we really did! While food and cooking is our passion, we are very serious about growing this into a real and viable business! We thought it might be nice to share with people the “what” and “why” we’re doing all this. Plus most people don’t know how much time and effort we spend just prepping alone, but truthfully- the MINUTE we start serving it’s all worth it. Sharing our food is a HUGE part of it, but getting to know our neighbors, seeing good friends, making new friends and sharing our love and passion of the culinary delights together… that’s the great part!
EVENING EXPANSION
SO we’re gonna expand. FIRST, We’re planning on doing an evening service, probably upcoming Wednesday (June 10th). We’re working out the kinks, and will give everyone who comes this Sunday more info. I MIGHT include a little bit of home delivery for our apartment buildings this time around too. We’ll see. I’m just afraid that might not work since I love talkin’ to all of ya’ll!
CATERING/EVENTS
SECONDLY, we are planning to expand to do catering as well. Someone has already suggested we cater their party… SO with that said, we’re open to start discussing functions, parties, lazy get togethers, Rock Band marathons (I can play the guitar for about 3-4 hrs straight FYI ^_^), group orders, swanky premieres, family reunions, night biking get togethers and even those crazy, beserk and outta control Oprah Book Club meetings!!!
I want to give a quick shout out to an old friend, Eddie Gilbert, who JUST resurfaced (via email) as one of the contestants of (I know you want it to be Fox Reality’s most intelligent show ever- BATTLE OF THE BODS) The Next Food Network Star. Crazy! He was working in HR last time I saw him, and that’s no joke! Click HERE for more info on him.
On a final note for the evening (I’m mainly saying that because that’s a nice way to end a note, and it sounds cool on those TV magazine shows on… well TV), I leave you with a pic of yet another tantalizing chicken dish that could someday…one day… any day… but not today or this Sunday BE your dish du jour:
Let me present to you, one of the most boring, almost non-sensical and seemingly irrelevent names for a dish that I have come across in long time since I have started consumption of solid nutritional refreshment: 3 Cup Chicken.
| From Blog Pics |
While that was a big build up of a probably confusing and almost non-sequitor answer, let me clarify that there is NOT the following in this picture AND in real life: 3 cups (shredded, dissolved, minced or otherwise), 3 cups of chicken, 3 cups of any one specific sauce/flavoring or 3 cups of any alcohol to induce a person (aka “alky”) to see 3 cups in front of him and/or her. There are infact a combination of 3 different sauces, but because I don’t remember what they are I’m going to throw out 3 sauces that are OBVIOUSLY NOT (I repeat NOT) in this recipe (feel free to play this game with me): coca-cola slurpee, Johnny Walker Blue Label, and weasel pooped coffee bean brewed coffee. And if you think I pulled THAT out of my ass (the weasel coffee not the bean itself)… it’s real, OH YES, it’s real! Click HERE for more info… some crazy sh-t.
All seemingly witty and funny (to only me I’m sure) commentary aside- this dish was the F’ING BOMB!!! DAAAAAAAAAMN it tasted great. Find Anderson Le on that-there-internet and ask him if you know him. To paraphrase and completely fabricate what he said, I think it was something like, “HOT DIGGITY DAWG THIS CHICKEN IS CHOMPTASTIC!”
^^
See ya’ll this Sunday
