WHAT?!?! Do I HAVE to open with a pic of a dish everytime? Okay, I’m sure most of the time that’s what you want, but I figured you might want a picture of me pointing at “ASIA” on the most recent Trader Joe’s flyer. Don’t you likey that? No? Well TOO BAD! (cue evil laugh) mwahahahaha I wanted to use this pic to show you that we at Starry Kitchen are committed to taking you on a Pan-Asian tour of food, fun, rollercoasters and donkey rides… oh YES!!! Okay, no rollercoasters and only the occassional donkey ride (that would be AWESOME if I could haul one up to the apt ^^), but it’s fun to eat our food. That’s at least what my mom tells me (even though she’s in Dallas…hmmmm). Anyway, it’s all yum yum YUMMERS!
Otherwise, you might notice something different with the layout: yup, I’m whoring out the site and got some banner ads on it. Click on some random ones sometime so can get a check for $.15 at the end of the month. I’ve seen some great ones already including a consistent Tyson chicken banner ad. I don’t know what you can do once you click thru, but that would be great if they could hand deliver the chicken and fry it for you on your door step. Even we wouldn’t do that… I think :p
Alright, alright.. here’s a pic of a dish we ate a couple of days ago. Its Sweet and Sour Eggplant. That thing below it is as random sleeping sumo wrestler thing that a friend gave us. No story or particular reason (or recreational influence) for this other than I happened to pick it up and thought it might look nice.

And sorry if the humor or witticisms are short today. I’ve been trying to figure out these banner ads and to make them look as IF they were part of the site. And REALLY, if you find an ad interesting clickity-click that MO’ FO’. Daddy needs a new set of wheels (or in this case Hot Wheels or maybe some used Go-Bots (I have some an I’ll share pics of sometime soon… man I love being a man-child!)
And of course, Sunday’s on, we’re looking to cater, we’ll probably keep on doing a weekday and I feel like eating a hamburger right now. WHAT? Can I not crave a hamburger? If you do too, go to Umami Burger. It’s only got 3.5 stars right now on Yelp, but TRUST that truffle burger is the kind of burger that can bring people together.
Hey guys, you want to test if that special someone might be a keeper- give her one of these bad boys (and by “bad boy” I mean BURGERS). She don’t like it, you should kick her to the curb, but make sure she doesn’t take that burger with her because that would just be a waste and just plain stupid on your part. Don’t worry, she’ll understand years later and when you’re 200 lbs heavier from being a truffle burger addict, but hey… as long as you’re happy who cares?!?!? (disclaimer: Starry Kitchen dose not truly endorse using a burger to determine the worth of your relationship… but if that special someone really does deserve it, have AT IT suckas but you didn’t hear THAT from us)
Alrighty, that’s it…awww what the hell. One more video from my childhood. This is actually one I REALLY loved too that not many new about. It did a really catchy theme song too- “Saber Riiiiiider… and the Star Sheriffs, in the SKY.” So it’s about these space aged sherrifs who ride on robotic horses, fly space ships that turn into huge robots and sometimes… sometimes will fight with a sword when the situation calls for it. Sounds pretty close to the future to me. I mean, this show was made in 1986 and look how SPOT ON they are now. Where is my robotic horse anyway??? But hey, if someone had a laser gun pointed to your head, after watching this you should naturally think, “Hmmmm- Japanese animated TV shows tell me that a sword will always triumph against contemporary weapons, EVIL and even a nagging girlfriend so that’s the obvious choice.” And you know what, you would be right my friend…. oh yeah, you might be dead too, but you would be right at least in my eyes!
