The Adventures of Starry Kitchen (Hello! Today WE’RE BACK so that means: ...) 

Hello 2012.. we’re BACK!  For those that could make it last week, the menu is EXACTLY the same (and for those that can’t see the menu unless there’s a direct link to the image vs. the link to the left side because the menu MIGHT be NSFW [I mean, it’s just a menu], just click the link above to get that menu.. see, I think about you guys behind all your firewalls and techno-mo-logy ;D)

First big change, our Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/any other holiday I forgot present to you (if you didn’t already know): CRISPY TOFU BALLS… FOREVER! SEE (the KITCHEN NINJA and our boy “Gordo” working hard making dem balls for YOU), that’s a pretty big change if you’ve been on gone on a nice lil vacation! And considering we have the SK KARA-GE on the menu you can make a cute Japanese Popcorn Chix and Tofu Balls smiley face too.. I mean if you have the time and want to (like me!) ^_^

Other changes?  I dunno, but things are a percolating (at least in our minds) and it’s time get this dog-and-pony show on the road, don’t you think? Btw, that’s not a hint that we’re getting a food truck or anything- it just means it’s time to move forward and grow this bad boy. ;D

I’m pretty sure we’ll re-visit (and possibly grow) our Oxtail+Bone Marrow+Beef Knuckle Pho Night!

And considering we only did the FISH+(TARO) CHIPS w/ Curry Apple Chutney-liciousness one day and how popular it was during that day, we’re seriously considering the FISH+(TARO) CHIPS FRIDAYS soon too (psssst- it’s battered w/ VODKA! haha)

Btw, that shit was CRISPY good too…

Now if you’ve read this far, “snaps to YOU” because… who reads this blog and/or this far anyway?!?! Which leads me to my personal+professional New Year’s Resolution:

It’s time to FINALLY stop talking, tweeting, blogging, facebooking about it. All that is cheap, it’s time to GROW this mo’fo!

  • Do we have any specific plans? Yes and no  
  • Is it gonna be hard and is the restaurant business still f’ing hard??? Ummm YEAH! I’m still f’ing up behind-the-scenes (it ain’t easy y’all!!)
  • but is it time to get off our asses and make it a reality? HELL YEAH IT IS!

This is a tough business guys. I won’t lie to you (well except to Chuck Norris, I never know what kinda mental games that guy is up to “hi-YA!”)  I’ve learned a lot, fucked up even more and I will say this:

WE ARE SOOOOOOO LUCKY WE’VE LASTED THIS LONG!!

(and if you haven’t figured it out, it’s all thanks to YOU.. the 1 person left that felt like reading this far ^_^)

And on that sappy note, if you aren’t anywhere close to (I was going to say “AN” SK as if we had more than one restaurant.. see, I’m already preparing myself mentally!) Starry Kitchen and ARE close to a Jack in the Box.. why not consider a “Jumbaco.. JUMBACO!” (feel free to sing+dance it in your office at the very least ;D)

(sure, this COULD be considered advertising for the “other team”.. but I think it’s pretty hilarious, especially lil Jack’s reaction when the ad exec kills the idea.. haha)
