Some would say the Industrial Revolution, the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement shaped America to become what is today. But let’s not forget one historical “game changer” of an event that shook America’s history to it’s core with almost (btw, I did say ALMOST) the same weight as those events above… YUP, I’m talking about the introduction of “Take-out Chinese Food!!!” (whenever that was.. according to Wikipedia could have started waaaaay back in the 19th-century… WHOA!)

(Btw, Take-out Chinese coincidentally is NOT ordered often by many Asians. FYI- I now barely know what Moo Shoo Pork is, still dunno what Egg Foo Yung is and I’ll be damned if anyone has actually met General Tso and/or his cousin’s chicken!!)

With that said, I introduce to you an ACTUAL Cantonese classic that IS part of the “vast repertoire” in the annals of Take-out Chinese Food history: the SWEETLY SOUR PORK (aka SWEET+SOUR PORK aka the “PANDA PORK” mwahahaha ;p)

It’s got that sweet+sour sauce (that we do make, not from a Kikkoman or La Choi bottle or somethin’ suckas).. It’s got some pineapple-liciousness.. It’s got the crunchy bites of bell pepper.. and it’s got (actually my personal addition) a MOUNTAIN (okay, maybe it’s like a mound or small dash of.. but you understand what I’m tryin’ to get at, right?!?!) of cilantro served w/ it that REALLY brings it home (or at least into your mouth for your personal enjoyment ^_^)

So there you have it- it’s on, you’re here, interested in “culinary history” and hopefully… yer HUNGRY ‘cause it’s time to consume that mutha trucker! haha

Oh yeah, btw it’s the LAST week for the mouth love makin’ MALAYSIAN CHICKEN CURRY AAAAAAAND it’s Coconut Rice counterpart. If you haven’t had it, it’s time to get a move on ‘cause it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO… OOOOOOOOOOOOOO… OOOOOOO FLAVORFUL! (oh YEAH!)

And with that bad news outta the way (‘cause I personally think it sucks a large donkey’s *BLEEEP* haha), let’s start our Monday w/ some Mr. T + Snickers hilarity! These commercials are pretty badASS (and that Snickers Gatlin Gun is pretty frickin sweet too!)
