But I’m A RUNNIN’ late so no more time for those shenanigans, back to the business of makin’ grub!

WHAT’S THE “BYE-BYE” DISH:
I’m sorry to say that this week’s gonna be a DOUBLE WHAMMY
LEMONGRASS TOFU
SK SPICY CRAB CAKES
If you remember, and I’ll jog your memory, the Crab Cakes (also known as the “Crack” Crab Cakes) were a special addition… kinda like a Chef’s or Kitchen Ninja’s Special.  Either way, ONE MORE WEEK before they go away!
NEW:
As suggested and informally voted on by our Facebook fans…
“NOM NOM” PORK
Also known as “Nem Nuong” to those in the know.  It’s basically VN BBQ Ground Pork, and you can find it most commonly in those yummy spring rolls that everyone loves… and we serve them “OC”-style (yes, OC not OG) w/ a crispity crunchy surprise in every bite (for the sammie and wrap form).  Here’s a sample of what that lil crispy surprise looks like!

And it gets served w/ a yummy and traditional Vietnamese meat sauce we lovingly call YUM YUM SK SAUCE
Also new, we’re taking out the SK CHOPPED SIDE SALAD and replacing it with:
SK SESAME ASIAN SLAW
Doh, I’m running outta time, but since many of you have commented on how “BORING” the side salad is (hey, it’s a side salad) we’re bringing this in to see what you think, ya’ll!

OMG - we’re taking enough TwitPics that a TwitPic review is in order… and doh, I’m kind of a techie and just realized that Tumblr (the service that STARRY KITCHEN uses to blog) actually can import RSS feeds. What does that mean in lamens terms? It means you can find all the STARRY KITCHEN goodness in one place (but you can still follow us on Twitter or Facebook ^_^). Take a look at what we’re eating!

REMINDER

Sunday, July 25th (12-3p) = new+improved JAPANESE HAMBURGER (beef+pork) CURRY 2.0 w/ ASIAN SLAW! Oh man, if you’re a meat eater, this is one succulent MO FO, and then w/ the much more subtle flavors of Japanese curry it’s so darn delish (we know curry is a strong spice for people, but this is probably the most palatable for those that can’t take it)… oh yes, if you’re lonely tomorrow, bring (aka coerce, drag, drug, whatever) a special “friend” ‘cause you may not be after this service. ^^

If you’re Vegetarian or Jewish (or our local favorite super combo-a Vegetarian Jew), we’re serving up a CRISPY TOFU w/ JAPANESE CURRY. We know some of you carnivores don’t lean towards tofu, but trust that many of our carnivorous friends here who called it NO-FU now call it “Give me some mo’ of that TOFU ‘cuz it’s so delicious before I smack you up the head FOO.”

Salad.

This is appropriate considering the name of the blog…well, I do have to say it is one SEXY lookin’ salad.  I’m so amazed about how many GREAT photos of food there are out there.  Ours pale in comparison, but we never pretended to be anything else but Pan-Asian Mexi-Mix food servers that possess strange and wonderous magical taste properties anyway.

This does make me want to serve a sexy kind of salad, but what?  Hmmm.. something to think about for service.  I mean, we already have an ASIAN SLAW side we’ve served a couple of times (and it’s so light and fresh tasting too… Oh BOY!)  And actually, ALL this other food we’ve posted makes me think about ideas and creations for you (and us!)  You NEVER know… CHUCK!  Plus you were only a Texas Ranger on TV, so why would your opinion count anyway… NOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIS!
