Before anyone gets mad about the “lack of rotation” this week lemme say this: THE CRISPY TOFU BALLS return on Tues, Nov 29th (and subsequently all the humor and imagery, new+old like the ones above, return as well ;p)

Hey, it’s a short holiday week and we dun like to rotate anything out during these times. Plus we can’t bring in the highly coveted CRISPY TOFU BALLS next Monday because it actually does take us a day to make ‘em bad boys (hence TUESDAY!) Consider this my birthday present from me (mine’s actually this Friday, Nov 25th ^_^).. to you! (even though it should be the other way around, right?!?! haha)

Until then, the aromatic deliciousness that is the 3 CUP TOFU is STILL on along w/ it’s tasty compadres MALAYSIAN COCONUT PINEAPPLE CHICKEN, NEBRASKA ANGUS JAPANESE MEATBALL CURRY and (since it’s soupy-souptastic weather today) the CILANTRO SCALLION MEATBALL SOUP!

So how can I have a NEW WAVE WEDNESDAY (for almost 8 months folks… 8 MONTHS… YOWZA!!!) without… DAVID BOWIE! AhhhhHHHhhhhHHHHHhhH…

Thankfully, today that has been rectified. New Wave Crisis.. AVERTED! (phew!)

Now that is outta the way, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to get my some YOUNG BANANA + TAPIOCA in CARAMEL COCONUT MILK. Why am I so brazenly plugging that dish (outside of the consistent theme of RESTAURANT WEEK going on right now), it’s because it’s a WARM dessert AND… I haven’t even had any this week. I’ve given it to all you chockos to make sure you can enjoy, but today’s my day… I’m gonna git me some ‘cause this weather “doth sucketh balls!” (you can quote me on that , especially if I run for City Janitor or something.

WARNING… WARNING.. OBLIGATORY SK/CASA RESTAURANT WEEK PLUG COMING… NOW!!

So what’s it to ya, we’re doin’ this thing we wants you to know about it. Hey, at CASA, that Braised Beef Short Ribs Birria dish is normally $19 BY ITSELF… and you can get it in what is essentially a 4 COURSE meal… Holy Crap SON, you betta go get yo’self some now before RESTAURANT WEEK (as of this mention, I have earned myself an imaginary $.30… SCORE!) ends…. Ooooooo the madness!

And oh yeah, with our menu (which we will carry into Din Dins this Thurs+Friday night), most of this stuff ain’t on the normal lunch menu (that’s RIGHT Chuck-Y Norris… no time for ChuckY-foolery today ‘cause the TAIWANESE FRIED PORK CHOP below is JUST on the RESTAURANT WEEK menu!). Again, my suggestion, “GET IT & SPLIT IT!” (but get another a la carte side because it might ALMOST be enough)

And if that’s not convincing enough (here come the BIG GUNS SON!), how ‘bout this pic of me and the Mayor Villaraigrosa LAUGHING about the “balls” I introduced to his mouth back at the LA STREET FOOD FEST (picture care of Dine LA… and we actually were laughing about the “good times” here in this pic.. While that sounds like a vulgar joke (hehehe.. it IS!), here’s a lil reminder of me and mayor’s past history (and NO, it isn’t scandalous… i THINK!)

#1-We ARE open tomorrow/Martin Luther King Day for L-U-N-C-H (if you wanna stop by that is).

#2-Here’s some light (& slightly less salty) balls related viewing above. SEE, we’re not the only one having fun w/ our balls (people in Indiana have fun w/ balls too!) ^_^ considering:

• the CRISPY TOFU BALLS just rotated out for the next couple of months (I know, it kinda sucks “balls” but you NEVER KNOW with us!)

• our landlords FINALLY got enough complaints from random people that our balls offended them (which is absurd ‘cause have they tried ‘em, I mean they’re so TASTY) that my landlords FORCED us to take our seemingly clever sign down (I was only gonna keep it up for one last day anyway)… no joke about that too. Well I guess some people worry about the economy, puttin’ food on the table, IEDs and the safety of their family… others worry about our balls in their mouth (without having even tried our balls yet too!!)

And THAT’S why you should enjoy the video above.. because life’s too short to take things so seriously and get mad (we won’t get mad ‘cause I love the fodder people provide us when they get offended from the simplest and harmless things we do :D), and we should all have a chicken puppet sing us a song on why we should enjoy a mid-west wings shop’s pair of BALLS in our mouths (I know I will!)
