So how can I have a NEW WAVE WEDNESDAY (for almost 8 months folks… 8 MONTHS… YOWZA!!!) without… DAVID BOWIE! AhhhhHHHhhhhHHHHHhhH…

“Let’s DANCE! Put on your red shoes and daaaaaaance the BLUUUUES”

Thankfully, today that has been rectified. New Wave Crisis.. AVERTED! (phew!)

Now that is outta the way, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to get my some YOUNG BANANA + TAPIOCA in CARAMEL COCONUT MILK. Why am I so brazenly plugging that dish (outside of the consistent theme of RESTAURANT WEEK going on right now), it’s because it’s a WARM dessert AND… I haven’t even had any this week. I’ve given it to all you chockos to make sure you can enjoy, but today’s my day… I’m gonna git me some ‘cause this weather “doth sucketh balls!” (you can quote me on that , especially if I run for City Janitor or something.

WARNING… WARNING.. OBLIGATORY SK/CASA RESTAURANT WEEK PLUG COMING… NOW!!

So what’s it to ya, we’re doin’ this thing we wants you to know about it. Hey, at CASA, that Braised Beef Short Ribs Birria dish is normally $19 BY ITSELF… and you can get it in what is essentially a 4 COURSE meal… Holy Crap SON, you betta go get yo’self some now before RESTAURANT WEEK (as of this mention, I have earned myself an imaginary $.30… SCORE!) ends…. Ooooooo the madness!

And oh yeah, with our menu (which we will carry into Din Dins this Thurs+Friday night), most of this stuff ain’t on the normal lunch menu (that’s RIGHT Chuck-Y Norris… no time for ChuckY-foolery today ‘cause the TAIWANESE FRIED PORK CHOP below is JUST on the RESTAURANT WEEK menu!). Again, my suggestion, “GET IT & SPLIT IT!” (but get another a la carte side because it might ALMOST be enough)

Okay okay… so it’s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we’re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it’s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I’m sure you do…

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn’t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn’t know it, we’re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best… is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “Now that I’m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.” But then you (pause) for a moment and I’m sure you THEN ask yourself:
“Why Team SK (who is o’ so wise and will never stop with the bloggin’ hilarity) should I go to this wonderous and magical event?”
Well fans (an average of 6.25 of ya out there now… YES!), here are a couple of my favorite reasons why:
we’re there (can I get a internet geek… w00t w00t!!)
it’s ALL-INCLUSIVE, so no more pesky fees once you get in (and pay for the tix online!)
we’re (as in the par-TAY) taking over the EFFIN ROSE BOWL BABEY!!! (yeah, we’re on the field!!!)
food, drink, ice cream, music and SK… what more could you want? (don’t answer that Chuck Norris… I’m warning you!!! ^_^)
and here’s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these…

Or in other words, “CRISPY F’ING TOFU BALLS my friends!”
We’re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya’ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span… now’s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL
We’re not making these again at the restaurant until around September (maybe even OCTOBER), so if you want ‘em… come and GET ‘EM! (and enjoy the other food while at the fest too, and feel free to show the other vendors your SK love… please?!?!).

While we’re actually doing a lot of background work… here’s a picture of us NOT cooking.  (KITCHEN NINJA on the left, me = the Asian Pose GOOFBALL on the right :p)
If you wouldn’t believe it, I (Nguyen Tran) am on the Board of Directors for a non-profit called CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) helping out people from all facets of “the biz” to get a leg up.  This pic above (and below “acting” like I’m working) is from our annual Soiree (held last week), and yes I do like to do Asian Poses as much as possible.  Coincidentally, I’m “Asian!”

So do you read the blog, lurk and STILL haven’t come to STARRY KITCHEN yet?  Well look no further than this post.  ’Cuz here we are Cletus!
So if you see us on the street, feel free to say “Hi” or run in the opposite direction.  Either way, we’ll know this post did it’s job informing people of who the personalities are (or lack of) behind the food, blog, Facebook updates and twitter tweets.
We’re still very behind on a ton o’ posts (including one on these really cool FRESH NOODLE instant ramen pack we got the other day -> pic below if you want some… they kinda expensive though @ $2/pack!) because we gots to get this sh-t goin’ DownTown.  No time for monkey business (aka “blogging”)  ^_^

On a quick note, I was following this exchange on twitter (because I have SO MUCH time on my hands to read these tweets ^_^), and I think I might be a “Blasian!”  This tweeter is a Japanese + Scottish (aka hapa-lluja!) foodie blogger I follow (and she MUTUALLY follows us… that’s the important fact to know here my friends :D) by the name of @mylastbite (http://www.mylastbite.com/)

@ChefAustinSzu I don’t know if I said it first, but I am proud to be a Blogger+Asian=Blasian (plus a hapa at that!) : )

So there you have it.  I was never sure about my title in life, but now I know (or think) that I am a “Blasian!”  Take that CHUCK NORRIS.  You can take your Soloflex and sell those wares elsewhere to someone that needs ‘em because I don’t need it… ANYMOOOO’!
(pssst - just because I have a blog and I update it slightly regularly… I’m a blogger, right?  I’m pretty sure I have the Asian category down… I’m “PRETTY” sure at least ^_^ LOL)

Curt, one half of the newly wed Rollison clan (welcome to ETERNITY guys!), came with his lovely wife Jessica (who wrote a hilariously great review about us, which makes me think I’m going to do a post breaking down the fun Yelp! reviews soon… but my favorite part of her review is easily one word- “mouthgasm”) and I “guess” was impressed with their experience here at Chateau SK. ^_^

Thankfully they were SO impressed that after they got home (with an extra burrito in hand that Jessica by now has already eaten for breakfast!), BOTH did what any self-proclaimed newbie foodie couple should do:

  • get on a computer
  • clear out your junk mail except that one email from an African emissary that could be legitimate about holding your $12M in their account (I’m still waiting for my wire transfer as we speak!)
  • watch a funny YouTube video of a cat playing a piano
  • contemplate sneaking a bite of SK burrito while the other’s not looking
  • jump on Facebook, laugh at hilarious pictures of friends doing stupid druken circus tricks
  • ignore the many friend requests from Chuck Norris
  • watch the funny YouTube clip again and…
  • write a blog post and/or Yelp review about STARRY KITCHEN.

Literally, they both came at us at the same time!  We were deluged with love from both husband and wife.  If we were in a mad game of Red Rover and we were to choose a side to go with… it would be a hard “life of death”-like decision that could be a burden on our souls… except one was quite the word-smith and used the ingenious term “mouthgasm” which obviously makes choosing Jessica easier. ^_^

Aside from that random and uninteresting psychobabble…. THANKS guys!  We <3 you all, and as long as you’re enjoying it we’re having fun too… which (in a cheesy sounding way) is really what’s it’s all about for us.

Hope to see you and everyone out Sunday (12-3p).  It’s going to be gooOoOooooOOOoOod! ;)

Have you ever had Abalone? Have you ever bought Abalone? Did you know it&#8217;s expensive as F!?!?! Well Oyster Mushrooms have a similar texture to Abalone, but a fraction of the cost AND the Organic ones have a slight sweet element as well.  And when stir-fried with kimchi it&#8217;s quite NICE! :)
Okay, you happy now? I think I was able to give you that with minimal sarcasm. =)

If we haven’t said it before, “we <3 you @chefludo + @frenchchefwife (aka in the “REAL” world as Ludovic + Krissy Lefebvre!) You guys EFFIN rock!!! *MUAH*”

And what does this have to do with at all with the pending and “temporary” removal of the NOM NOM PORK (only 1 more day left ya’ll), and to THAT I say “is it wrong for one couple to emphatically and platonically express their love for another couple in a forum that maybe 6 or 7 people read anyway??? I think not” (but don’t forget the NOM NOM PORK is going away.. maybe for 2 months LOL)

SOOOOoooo, we’ve met a lot of people that we’ve inspired by our “crazy” antics starting from our apartment, and I just thought we’d to take a moment to show you who has inspired us! (I’m sure I just lost about all our readers now… damn you guys are a fickle crowd!)

As we were slowly growing (which I STILL can’t believe to this day), I was reading more about the food biz and all the different personalities and all of a sudden I kept on seeing Krissy and Ludo’s names poping up (no pun intended) LITERALLY EVERYWHERE on the internet.  He was and is seriously the Dining Darling of LA right now. When I finally took the time to figure out what the hell LudoBites was (hey, we’re all n00bs at one point in time.. right?… RIGHT??? ^_^), I was like..

So I literally DID reach out publicly via Twitter, and shortly there after (to my amazement) they BOTH responded… and after months of email + Twitter correspondence + the passing of LudoBites 3.0 (which I read about in AWE living vicarious through all the blogs, tweets and etc) they actually showed up on our door step on a Sunday afternoon (aka SK NoHo secret lunch service!), and thus began the LEFEBVRE LOVEFEST. :)

And since then, they’ve personally “popped-up” (<- pun INTENDED there) at SKDT, have been very supportive of what we’re doing and are now doing the most awesome-licious LudoBites 4.0 (we went last Saturday… and had 1 of EVERYTHING… OMG, so good… and we were so damn FULL). There’s unfortunately a wait list a 1000 people long (and I don’t believe that’s an exaggeration, it’s actually THAT long), so you might have to wait for his famous Ludo’s Fried Chicken nights (we still haven’t been ourselves) or next LudoBites (if there is one) to meet/taste his delectable (and many times hilarious) bites.

Btw, they’re SUPER COOL and very nice too.. forget all this other stuff, they’re just good peeps which is what matters the most (remember, SKDT - “Keep SKDT D-Bag Free!”)

So there you have it… an actual, genuine anecdote from us. It’s not all non-sequitur antics and New Wave Weds videos here at SK… hey, we have a soul and we have people we look up to as well (excluding Chuck Norris of course… damn you CHUCK, I’ve resisted mentioning you for SO long.. why now… WHHHHHY?)

And with that I’ll close by saying you’ll see our support of Ludo + Krissy today, which is coincidentally “SK CASUAL FRIDAY” for our staff, with our LudoBites t-shirts!

But anyway, the Supper Club went really well, and we were actually quite glad it was smaller than the allotted 20 spots we &#8220;thought&#8221; we could handle too! ^_^  From the looks of things, everything from the chicken wings, the lotus leaf steam fried rice, the incredible smörgåsbord that was our hotpot to the pandan vanilla churros was a success!  So are we gonna do this again?  You bet your bottom dollar&#8230; CHUCK NORRIS!!!
Even though NoHo&#8217;s shut down, the experiment that is STARRY KITCHEN continues into 2010 now w/ our focus on opening SK DownTown and continuing our Supper Club series.  We&#8217;ll probably do the Supper Club bi-monthly or once a month when we can fit it into our schedules.  Just keep on the look out, and we&#8217;ll announce more plans here and everywhere. :)

We&#8217;re still working out logistics (i.e. the week hasn&#8217;t started yet), but this much I can tell you already.  The dish for this Saturday: &#8220;NEW&#8221; LEMONGRASS CHICKEN.  And by &#8220;NEW&#8221; I mean we&#8217;re going to try a new recipe.  We&#8217;ve been serving this successfully since&#8230; April &#8216;09 (doesn&#8217;t quite roll off your tongue when you say it out loud), and we felt a new improvement could work and we&#8217;re bringing it out for all of YA&#8217;LL to try this Saturday.  PLUS, it&#8217;s one of the most palatable dishes for a larger group (don&#8217;t worry foodie friends, it&#8217;s pretty tasty anyway&#8230; we promise or we wouldn&#8217;t be foodies too&#8230; and I realize that promise has no weight to it but just go with it for right now ^_^)

UPDATE: I was discussing this very topic of my problems with their bread with one of our n00bs of Weds (thanks James!), and he mentioned that:

  1. He doesn’t like the super duper chewy texture and never gets a sandwich when it’s like that
  2. The bread is COMPLETELY different when it’s fresh, and it’s crunchy too! ah HA - so it was my fault (for not knowing at least)

SO, while I already declared I would go back, now I DEFINITELY have to go back to get my “BREAD” on because that sounds infinitely better than the TMJ inducing loaf I got before!  Can’t wait (for the crunchy bread, not the TMJ ^_^). So take THAT Norris!  Point- Team SK!

11/11/09 (9:30a): Ahhhh… it seems EVERYONE that lives in West LA MUST know or have gone to BAY CITIES DELI in Santa Monica.  If you ask anyone, it is definitely one of the staples and it’s taken me over a year since I first heard about it to finally try it.

Btw, I know this post is a little late, but I figure this was worthy of a full post rather than a short and concise one from my blackberry.  Why?  Because I care, and my fingers start cramping up after my multitude of emails, tweets and Facebook posts.  I mean, have you seen me use a blackberry?  I’m a speed demon on that keypad (bleep, bloop, blop, bloop, bleep, bleep, bleep <— that’s the sound in my head of expeditious typing and processing all the way from 1970 ^_^).  But as usual, I digress.

THE GOOOOOOODMOOOOOOOOTHER

Let’s just cut to the chase shall we: I liked it a lot, but I didn’t love it like everyone else did.  It could be a case of too much hype (god forbid that happens when people come to STARRY KITCHEN… I dread the day we don’t live up to the “hype”), how I built it up my head or what I envisioned a Godmother would be.  I’ll be honest, I thought the Godmother was honestly the “Godmother” of all sandwiches, and would been an amazing amalgamation of meats, cheese and sauces all smacked in between two pieces of amazing bread to make an earth shatteringly tasty good time… but it wasn’t exactly that.

But “was it good?”  HELL YEAH it was good.  I won’t deny that by any means.  I totally enjoyed it, but I think the expectation I had with a name like that and all the talk that I think I blew it up too much myself.

It’s a tastily simple sandwich, but as one person put it, “it’s the attention to detail that really matters” (thanks Neel for allowing me to steal that quote from you), and at Bay Cities that detail does show.  It’s a perfect ratio of oil, mayo, capicola, cheese and bread.  Very tasty, and not too heavy either.

Uh OH, ANOTHER bread rant

There is ONE thing, and I guess this is a re-occurring trend considering my previous post about Banh Mi My Tho: the BREAD!  I think it’s very good, but after a while I felt like a street walker that’s given too many “you know what’s” (and by that, I mean giving out lots of flyers for the next Jonas Brothers/Hannah Montana concert extravaganza of course… which is very tiring work ^_^) because my jaw was exhausted! Whew! Now, the bread was very good overall, and I’d prefer this over a dry/dense bread too.  But man oh man, I can’t eat this thing often.  That’s one chewy son-of-a-gun, and it’s going to cause me to have TMJ and then I’ll be slurping meals the rest of my life! “NooooOOoooOooO!”

And here’s the thing too, I have to admit I’m biased as well.  My FAVORITE sandwich place in LA is still LARCHMONT WINE & CHEESE.  This place is also one of those “attention to detail” places, and their bread doesn’t make me feel like a working class lady of the night after a long day of…ummm… “handing out concert flyers.”  I’m not saying you (mom) will like this better than Bay Cities, but try it out ‘cause it TOO is worth your time.  It’s simply good stuff.

By the way, this doesn’t include my and EVERYONE’s favorite Jewish pastrami sandwich @ LANGERS, which is a different kinda category of sandwich that the KITCHEN NINJA still hasn’t tried yet either.  We’ll get to that marbled goodness sometime soon on this blog, but if you haven’t tried it you better get to that mutha f-cker quickly ‘cause it’s definitely something you could write home, to your random 2nd cousin in Dijibouti or Sally Struthers about while she helps out children or failing internet dot.coms (because she’s super duper nice!)

Have you ever had Abalone? Have you ever bought Abalone? Did you know it&#8217;s expensive as F!?!?! Well Oyster Mushrooms have a similar texture to Abalone, but a fraction of the cost AND the Organic ones have a slight sweet element as well.  And when stir-fried with kimchi it&#8217;s quite NICE! :)
Okay, you happy now? I think I was able to give you that with minimal sarcasm. =)

Okay okay&#8230; so it&#8217;s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we&#8217;re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it&#8217;s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I&#8217;m sure you do&#8230;

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn&#8217;t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn&#8217;t know it, we&#8217;re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best&#8230; is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;re asking yourself, &#8220;Now that I&#8217;m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.&#8221; But then you (pause) for a moment and I&#8217;m sure you THEN ask yourself:

and here&#8217;s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these&#8230;

We&#8217;re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya&#8217;ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span&#8230; now&#8217;s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL

While we&#8217;re actually doing a lot of background work&#8230; here&#8217;s a picture of us NOT cooking.  (KITCHEN NINJA on the left, me = the Asian Pose GOOFBALL on the right :p)
If you wouldn&#8217;t believe it, I (Nguyen Tran) am on the Board of Directors for a non-profit called CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) helping out people from all facets of &#8220;the biz&#8221; to get a leg up.  This pic above (and below &#8220;acting&#8221; like I&#8217;m working) is from our annual Soiree (held last week), and yes I do like to do Asian Poses as much as possible.  Coincidentally, I&#8217;m &#8220;Asian!&#8221;

So if you see us on the street, feel free to say &#8220;Hi&#8221; or run in the opposite direction.  Either way, we&#8217;ll know this post did it&#8217;s job informing people of who the personalities are (or lack of) behind the food, blog, Facebook updates and twitter tweets.
We&#8217;re still very behind on a ton o&#8217; posts (including one on these really cool FRESH NOODLE instant ramen pack we got the other day -&gt; pic below if you want some&#8230; they kinda expensive though @ $2/pack!) because we gots to get this sh-t goin&#8217; DownTown.  No time for monkey business (aka &#8220;blogging&#8221;)  ^_^

On a quick note, I was following this exchange on twitter (because I have SO MUCH time on my hands to read these tweets ^_^), and I think I might be a &#8220;Blasian!&#8221;  This tweeter is a Japanese + Scottish (aka hapa-lluja!) foodie blogger I follow (and she MUTUALLY follows us&#8230; that&#8217;s the important fact to know here my friends :D) by the name of @mylastbite (http://www.mylastbite.com/)

@ChefAustinSzu I don&#8217;t know if I said it first, but I am proud to be a Blogger+Asian=Blasian (plus a hapa at that!)&#160;: )

So there you have it.  I was never sure about my title in life, but now I know (or think) that I am a &#8220;Blasian!&#8221;  Take that CHUCK NORRIS.  You can take your Soloflex and sell those wares elsewhere to someone that needs &#8216;em because I don&#8217;t need it&#8230; ANYMOOOO&#8217;!
(pssst - just because I have a blog and I update it slightly regularly&#8230; I&#8217;m a blogger, right?  I&#8217;m pretty sure I have the Asian category down&#8230; I&#8217;m &#8220;PRETTY&#8221; sure at least ^_^ LOL)

Peanut Cilantro &#8220;Dan Dan&#8221; Dipping Sauce - that was one of two dipping sauces for the hotpot this last Friday!  And if it sounds familiar, this is the same sauce we use for our Dan Dan Noodle side dish too.
SO we already gave our shout outs on Facebook, so no need for that.  And as one (and our FIRST SK DownTown) Yelp reviewer put it, we are indeed more active on Facebook (http://facebook.com/starrykitchen) than that there Twitter (but we&#8217;re on there too - http://twitter.com/starrykitchen).  Check out the Yelp review here (it&#8217;s amazing we didn&#8217;t post about our 1st review from SK DT that much, huh): http://bit.ly/skdtla
But anyway, the Supper Club went really well, and we were actually quite glad it was smaller than the allotted 20 spots we &#8220;thought&#8221; we could handle too! ^_^  From the looks of things, everything from the chicken wings, the lotus leaf steam fried rice, the incredible smörgåsbord that was our hotpot to the pandan vanilla churros was a success!  So are we gonna do this again?  You bet your bottom dollar&#8230; CHUCK NORRIS!!!
Even though NoHo&#8217;s shut down, the experiment that is STARRY KITCHEN continues into 2010 now w/ our focus on opening SK DownTown and continuing our Supper Club series.  We&#8217;ll probably do the Supper Club bi-monthly or once a month when we can fit it into our schedules.  Just keep on the look out, and we&#8217;ll announce more plans here and everywhere. :)

Thanks to all of ya&#8217;ll (here comes my Texas roots right there&#8230; even though I don&#8217;t actually talk like that) that moseyed on over to our eating establishment (aka our back-patio apartment).  We&#8217;re still meeting new people&#8230; and we LOVE that!  Props to Rachelle and Sophie.  Hot diggity damn you girls are REALLY on top of the current taco truck twitter crazy in LA.  WOW!  I wish I could have talked to you more.  I heard you talking to another n00b, Gary, about all the different trucks. Caring is sharing&#8230; that&#8217;s what they say! ^_^

In short, we may be taking over this place pretty soon and we want to test ourselves out in the kitchen. So if you can make it, come on out.  It&#8217;s good for ya.
We&#8217;re still working out logistics (i.e. the week hasn&#8217;t started yet), but this much I can tell you already.  The dish for this Saturday: &#8220;NEW&#8221; LEMONGRASS CHICKEN.  And by &#8220;NEW&#8221; I mean we&#8217;re going to try a new recipe.  We&#8217;ve been serving this successfully since&#8230; April &#8216;09 (doesn&#8217;t quite roll off your tongue when you say it out loud), and we felt a new improvement could work and we&#8217;re bringing it out for all of YA&#8217;LL to try this Saturday.  PLUS, it&#8217;s one of the most palatable dishes for a larger group (don&#8217;t worry foodie friends, it&#8217;s pretty tasty anyway&#8230; we promise or we wouldn&#8217;t be foodies too&#8230; and I realize that promise has no weight to it but just go with it for right now ^_^)

I have a ton more to post for all 6 of you (I&#8217;m pretty sure since the beginning of this post I&#8217;ve acquired 3 more readers&#8230; I&#8217;m SURE of it!) including picks of one my FAVORITEST Korean BBQ places in EVER&#8230; PARK&#8217;S BBQ!  Even the KITCHEN NINJA has never been there&#8230; until last night, and she was IMPRESSED&#8230; and I&#8217;m just FULL! ^_^  I&#8217;ll give you a quick summary though: HIGH QUALITY.  I&#8217;ll write more later with pics too.
Until then, you either hate her, love her, deplore her, think&#8217;s she&#8217;s weird or&#8230; whatever&#8230; but here&#8217;s LADY GAGA&#8217;S BAD ROMANCE for your mental consumption (or deterioration).  I have to admit, she&#8217;s a guilty pleasure of mine&#8230; and so much fun to sing at karaoke too.  Don&#8217;t hate me &#8216;cause I&#8217;m a DORK (that&#8217;s who I am&#8230; I can&#8217;t helpS it) ^_^  Just watch it, even for a minute because frankly&#8230; it&#8217;s pretty f&#8217;in beautifully shot.  Forget the music, it&#8217;s pretty cool to look at (and hopefully you sellout to like the music so we can karaoke this, JUST DANCE, PAPARAZZI and P-P-P-POKERFACE together ;p):

Curt, one half of the newly wed Rollison clan (welcome to ETERNITY guys!), came with his lovely wife Jessica (who wrote a hilariously great review about us, which makes me think I’m going to do a post breaking down the fun Yelp! reviews soon… but my favorite part of her review is easily one word- “mouthgasm”) and I “guess” was impressed with their experience here at Chateau SK. ^_^

Thankfully they were SO impressed that after they got home (with an extra burrito in hand that Jessica by now has already eaten for breakfast!), BOTH did what any self-proclaimed newbie foodie couple should do:

  • get on a computer
  • clear out your junk mail except that one email from an African emissary that could be legitimate about holding your $12M in their account (I’m still waiting for my wire transfer as we speak!)
  • watch a funny YouTube video of a cat playing a piano
  • contemplate sneaking a bite of SK burrito while the other’s not looking
  • jump on Facebook, laugh at hilarious pictures of friends doing stupid druken circus tricks
  • ignore the many friend requests from Chuck Norris
  • watch the funny YouTube clip again and…
  • write a blog post and/or Yelp review about STARRY KITCHEN.

Literally, they both came at us at the same time!  We were deluged with love from both husband and wife.  If we were in a mad game of Red Rover and we were to choose a side to go with… it would be a hard “life of death”-like decision that could be a burden on our souls… except one was quite the word-smith and used the ingenious term “mouthgasm” which obviously makes choosing Jessica easier. ^_^

Aside from that random and uninteresting psychobabble…. THANKS guys!  We <3 you all, and as long as you’re enjoying it we’re having fun too… which (in a cheesy sounding way) is really what’s it’s all about for us.

Hope to see you and everyone out Sunday (12-3p).  It’s going to be gooOoOooooOOOoOod! ;)
