Starry Kitchen
Did ya see us on TV or on the web? Yeah?!?! NICE…
But I’m A RUNNIN’ late so no more time for those shenanigans, back to the business of makin’ grub!
Updated menu above, but here are the quick updates:
WHAT’S THE “BYE-BYE” DISH:
I’m sorry to say that this week’s gonna be a DOUBLE WHAMMY
LEMONGRASS TOFU
SK SPICY CRAB CAKES
If you remember, and I’ll jog your memory, the Crab Cakes (also known as the “Crack” Crab Cakes) were a special addition… kinda like a Chef’s or Kitchen Ninja’s Special.  Either way, ONE MORE WEEK before they go away!
NEW:
As suggested and informally voted on by our Facebook fans…
“NOM NOM” PORK
Also known as “Nem Nuong” to those in the know.  It’s basically VN BBQ Ground Pork, and you can find it most commonly in those yummy spring rolls that everyone loves… and we serve them “OC”-style (yes, OC not OG) w/ a crispity crunchy surprise in every bite (for the sammie and wrap form).  Here’s a sample of what that lil crispy surprise looks like!

And it gets served w/ a yummy and traditional Vietnamese meat sauce we lovingly call YUM YUM SK SAUCE
Also new, we’re taking out the SK CHOPPED SIDE SALAD and replacing it with:
SK SESAME ASIAN SLAW
Doh, I’m running outta time, but since many of you have commented on how “BORING” the side salad is (hey, it’s a side salad) we’re bringing this in to see what you think, ya’ll!
BACK:
CURRY FRIED RICE
See, things do come back!
Alrighty, gotta go and check typos later.
Love ya,
TEAM SK

What is Team SK’s decision for this age old (aka 1 week) feud of PORK VS TOFU???
Before we answer that, I’m sure some of you might be thinking that this will go down in the annals of SK history as one of the most fun weeks we’ve had watching people comment, discuss and debate over this on our Facebook Fan Page (and the other debate of Diet Coke vs. Coke Zero… which still hasn’t been decided), and I’m RIGHT there with ya! *hi-5* Not because of anything manipulative or pulling puppet-strings (I’m not THAT smart… HEY wait a minute!!!), it’s because I really like to think that we’re starting to grow our… COMMUNITY (sniff sniff) *holding back tears of joy*
… and that’s kinda cool.
But anyway, you want the answer right? Well for THIS answer you’ll need to actually read (but please don’t scroll down and skip all my seemingly witty jibba-jabba… DOH… TOO LATE!)
WHY ALL THIS STRESS & MYSTERY???
Because we’ve been trying to figure out possibly ROTATING-IN a dish that could co-exist with everything else we’re making.  And if it didn’t work, well we would have to boot one of the dishes!
“BLAH BLAH BLAH” SO DID IT WORK?
WHOA Mom! SIMMER DOWN.. simmer down.  I know you’re the only one reading my blog, but there’s no need for ‘ttude ‘cause I got this under (*smack*)…
Yes Mom.. I’ll get to the answer now
ANSWER = BOTH the TAIWANESE FRIED PORK CHOP and LEMONGRASS TOFU are staying! Yup, they’re STAYING…. HOORAY (at least for another week)
That’s a relief, huh?  (except that you REALLY only have one more additional week before one of ‘em goes away :D).  So instead of rotating a dish OUT, this time we’re going to be rotating a dish IN! (hey, we’re still technically rotating!)
SO WHAT IS THIS DISH THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN IRREPARABLE RIFT BETWEEN THESE STAR CROSSED “LOVERS?”

We’re gonna serve this starting on Monday.  I’m gonna call it (and it could change by Monday) the SK SPICY SPECIAL CRAB CAKE (made w/ imitation crab meat… but that’s just a minor detail ‘cause this sucka is DELICIOUS) served w/ a wasabi mayo sauce… yuuuuum! I’m telling you RIGHT now, this is FRICKIN’ AMAZING (and a lil spicy too for those that can’t hang).
Alrighty, there you have it!  Oh yeah, if you’re bored (by now I’m sure I’ve lost all my readers… except me re-reading this for fun ^^), here’s the reject/explosion version of the image above (ka-BOOM!):

Next up: one more debate we’ll need to answer: DIET COKE VS COKE ZERO (which I didn’t even KNOW was a huge debate until it came up this week… WHOA!)
Xoxo,
