Okay okay… so it’s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we’re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it’s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I’m sure you do…

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn’t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn’t know it, we’re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best… is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “Now that I’m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.” But then you (pause) for a moment and I’m sure you THEN ask yourself:
“Why Team SK (who is o’ so wise and will never stop with the bloggin’ hilarity) should I go to this wonderous and magical event?”
Well fans (an average of 6.25 of ya out there now… YES!), here are a couple of my favorite reasons why:

we’re there (can I get a internet geek… w00t w00t!!)
it’s ALL-INCLUSIVE, so no more pesky fees once you get in (and pay for the tix online!)
we’re (as in the par-TAY) taking over the EFFIN ROSE BOWL BABEY!!! (yeah, we’re on the field!!!)
food, drink, ice cream, music and SK… what more could you want? (don’t answer that Chuck Norris… I’m warning you!!! ^_^)
and here’s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these…


Or in other words, “CRISPY F’ING TOFU BALLS my friends!”
We’re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya’ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span… now’s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL
We’re not making these again at the restaurant until around September (maybe even OCTOBER), so if you want ‘em… come and GET ‘EM! (and enjoy the other food while at the fest too, and feel free to show the other vendors your SK love… please?!?!).

Howdy PARDNERS!

Let’s start off simple: CRISPY TOFU BALLS for 1 more week… ONLY for Din Dins tonight+tomorrow. It will be a limited amount, so if you want some now and don’t want to wait until mid-end of Summer when we bring it back (btw, I have NO idea when.. I promise) now’s the time… CARPE DIEM!!! ^_^

Damn, so much going on, and I’m ALWAYS running late.

WELL, for all you Downtown Artwalk-ers… wanna come to SK for Din Dins and then swing on by. We’ll open tonight (I promise!).

Oh yeah, our hours have extended… just by a lil bit from 6p - 9.30p (ooooh… only 30 min later, I know! LOL). In addition to the menu on the left, you can eat ya some of tasty bad-boys:

For those that are new (all 6 of you that we met at the Rose Bowl this weekend that weren’t completely put off by our constant “balls” jokes LOL), we rotate the menu every WEEK! Why? Because we can! ^_^ (and that’s just our concept… but that’s a more boring and less bold answer than the former :D)

And we’re changing this one up by adding minced kimchi + gochujang (Korean sweet chili paste) on topsies:

We got some left-over stash from the fest, and we’ll be serving up THESE starting today (and until we run out):

Rather than write more boring words and lingo (outside of the fact that they created a WHOLE new category just for us: BEST ORIGINAL SHOWMANSHIP), here are just a FEW of the pictures. There are SO many pictures I’m finding that I would recommend the best place to find ‘em is to follow our Twitter account (@starrykitchen) or the Facebook Fan Page. (end of words… now ^_^)

“FAREWELL” (after tonight of course) from GQ (he’s the that’s licking me in mid-pose ^_^) and I would like to bid you  for possibly most of the summer! If people do not come and try ya tonight… they will have to wait and I will have to continue referring to “them” in the 3rd person as if I’m always having a conversation w/ you our beautifully green tofu ball friend).
But it’s not just you that’s going away, is it?!

Happy week…???.. OMG, do I TRULY not remember what week we are? Is that a good or bad sign, huh?!?!  I think it’s 16, or possibly 17… but I’m not sure. But WTH, time to revel in not counting the days (or…ummm.. WEEKS) and just trying to grow this mamma jamma. ^_^
SO the CRISPY TOFU BALLS are gone, and why do I bring this up?? Well, I think after 2 weeks of dinner services, we’re going to instate a new and fairly consistent rule: Whatever we rotate out of for lunch, we will continue for one more week at Din Dins ONLY!
What does all that jibberish mean exactly? EXPECT CRISPY TOFU BALLS for Din Dins this wk, and it’s your last chance before we take ‘em away for a lil bit. M’kay?! ^_^

Oh yeah, as of this post you also have about 2.5 more hours to submit for the DINE LA ROUNDTABLE event tix.  In the last day, I’ve gotten some REALLY good submissions too. I’ll share ‘em tomorrow.  Good stuff :)

PEANUT CILANTRO DAN-DAN NOODLES (not veggie-friendly)

First, read the menu if you want a nice lil ol’ description on the tofu (don’t be deterred cause its Vegan… it’s still delish). Secondly,the DAN-DAN NOODLES aren’t veggie friendly only because we do use chicken stock to flavor ‘em. SO, if you can eat that, GREAT! If you can’t, you can at least say we didn’t lie to ya. ^_^
So much to talk about, and so little time… but why don’t you start off your week by watching this fun little romp of a YouTube video. It’s quite entertaining, and it stars… ADRIEN BRODY! LOL (thx to friend Justin Mandel for posting this on his Facebook page.. I just saw it this morning, “stole” it and felt like posting it here… and it’s HILARIOUS)

And before we get into the few (of a LOT) of pictorial tomfoolery from the event, let’s just jump into the going-ons of this week:

For those that are new (all 6 of you that we met at the Rose Bowl this weekend that weren’t completely put off by our constant “balls” jokes LOL), we rotate the menu every WEEK! Why? Because we can! ^_^ (and that’s just our concept… but that’s a more boring and less bold answer than the former :D)

Okay okay… so it’s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we’re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it’s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I’m sure you do…

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn’t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn’t know it, we’re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best… is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “Now that I’m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.” But then you (pause) for a moment and I’m sure you THEN ask yourself:
“Why Team SK (who is o’ so wise and will never stop with the bloggin’ hilarity) should I go to this wonderous and magical event?”
Well fans (an average of 6.25 of ya out there now… YES!), here are a couple of my favorite reasons why:

we’re there (can I get a internet geek… w00t w00t!!)
it’s ALL-INCLUSIVE, so no more pesky fees once you get in (and pay for the tix online!)
we’re (as in the par-TAY) taking over the EFFIN ROSE BOWL BABEY!!! (yeah, we’re on the field!!!)
food, drink, ice cream, music and SK… what more could you want? (don’t answer that Chuck Norris… I’m warning you!!! ^_^)
and here’s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these…


Or in other words, “CRISPY F’ING TOFU BALLS my friends!”
We’re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya’ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span… now’s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL
We’re not making these again at the restaurant until around September (maybe even OCTOBER), so if you want ‘em… come and GET ‘EM! (and enjoy the other food while at the fest too, and feel free to show the other vendors your SK love… please?!?!).

Unlike the last event (yeah, yeah… they and WE ALL know what “some” of the comments were from the last one), this is VERY limited too (let’s just say it’s a fraction of the reported 15-20k that went to the last one).

Dear CRISPY TOFU BALLS,
“FAREWELL” (after tonight of course) from GQ (he’s the that’s licking me in mid-pose ^_^) and I would like to bid you  for possibly most of the summer! If people do not come and try ya tonight… they will have to wait and I will have to continue referring to “them” in the 3rd person as if I’m always having a conversation w/ you our beautifully green tofu ball friend).
But it’s not just you that’s going away, is it?!
Today is ALSO the last Lunchie-Munchie day for the SPICY KOREAN BLACK PORK BELLY (aka one of the dishes I “F-CKING LOOOOOVE”).

Happy week…???.. OMG, do I TRULY not remember what week we are? Is that a good or bad sign, huh?!?!  I think it’s 16, or possibly 17… but I’m not sure. But WTH, time to revel in not counting the days (or…ummm.. WEEKS) and just trying to grow this mamma jamma. ^_^
SO the CRISPY TOFU BALLS are gone, and why do I bring this up?? Well, I think after 2 weeks of dinner services, we’re going to instate a new and fairly consistent rule: Whatever we rotate out of for lunch, we will continue for one more week at Din Dins ONLY!
What does all that jibberish mean exactly? EXPECT CRISPY TOFU BALLS for Din Dins this wk, and it’s your last chance before we take ‘em away for a lil bit. M’kay?! ^_^

First, read the menu if you want a nice lil ol’ description on the tofu (don’t be deterred cause its Vegan… it’s still delish). Secondly,the DAN-DAN NOODLES aren’t veggie friendly only because we do use chicken stock to flavor ‘em. SO, if you can eat that, GREAT! If you can’t, you can at least say we didn’t lie to ya. ^_^
So much to talk about, and so little time… but why don’t you start off your week by watching this fun little romp of a YouTube video. It’s quite entertaining, and it stars… ADRIEN BRODY!
