Starry Kitchen
Happy…. RESTAURANT WEEK (or technically.. weekS!)
Before we get into all this cool mumbo-jumbo, today marks the return of NOM NOM PORK!

And this week, we’re breaking our rules by “allowing” Restaurant Week to invade our menu AND there’s NO BYE-BYE dish this week (too much is going on to do it plus w/ Restaurant Week there are a LOT of options at your disposal foo’s! ^_^).
For those not in the know (we weren’t either until a couple of months ago mind you), we’re participating in this city (and nationwide) Restaurant Week bonanza of exposing ya’ll to different restaurants, cuisine and F’bombs (if you come to SK that is) in our fair city of LOS ANGELES… hip hip… HOORAY!
If you want more information, you can click this purdy image right HERE:

NORMALLY I would have just linked that to or menu, but being the self-less people we are we want to expose you to the 300+ restaurants (that we’ll be trying out too) here in LA… that and we have our own cool graphically represented menu thanks to our friends and neighbors at CASA DOWNTOWN we’re partnering up to bring more peeps to California Plaza. Check out our combined menus HERE:

Awwww yeah! And if you REALLY want more details on the deliciousness we’re serving with very descriptive (i.e. wordy and SK verbosity), you can click on our Restaurant Week ONLY “BALLS” (aka CRISPY TOFU BALLS) right… here (please!):

Last details… items on the Restaurant Week menu and NOT on the normal menu = Restaurant Week ONLY ya’ll! We’re breaking from our normal rules to do this, but we gots to keep the peace while we serve up our usual deliciousness (assuming you agree we’re still delicious). This includes Restaurant Week (do you think I can get $.10 for each time I mention RESTAURANT WEEK!) ONLY dishes like these beauties:
DOUBLE-FRIED SWEET GINGER GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS

VIETNAMESE EGGROLLS (aka not the BS Chinese Cabbage Eggrolls America has been subject too… ewwww!)

TAIWANESE FRIED PORK CHOP served w/ flash-fried basil and a ginger plum sauce (if you come in and see the hole I kicked in, I dedicated that hole “accidentally” to this beloved dish!)

And two of the three desserts (of which I don’t have sexy-licious pics of either the EXOTIC THAI FRUIT IN COCONUT MILK or the YOUNG BANANA + TAPIOCA in CARAMEL COCONUT MILK!)
And that’s it. Gots to get to work to serve up all these bad boys. WOO HOO
Xoxo,

PS-for anyone that’s following our boring car impound drama… NOPE, still don’t have our car back yet!! :-/

Hello.. HELLO!
Time’s awastin’, so no time like the present to just jump into the rotating (i.e. I gots actual restaurant stuff to DO’S and have no time for my seemingly witty banter today ^_^).
Let’s start with what’s going away because it’s gonna a sad one and a near mass-exodus too!!!
BYE-BYE:
BRAISED COCONUT PORK
Coconut Rice
SK Chopped Side Salad
Of these these, I’m definitely going to miss the first AND second (because together they are a flavor SUPER-POWER!) the most.  Damn, and I waited 6 months for that dish to come back, and now you know… even I am subject to the emotional rollercoaster that is SK too! LOL
HI-HI:
BRAISED COCONUT JACKFRUIT
The vegan cousin of my favorite dish, and a unique one because… it don’t taste ANYTHING like fruit too. AMAZING!
Until then, watch this video (that ain’t for kiddies ya’ll… unless your kiddies talk like sailor’s all.. day.. LONG) that one of our friends thought was appropriate for us (i.e. ME) because of ummm… my love for the use of the F*Bomb (but I only use it to convey passion, m’kay!)  Enjoy this, it’s pretty funny.. if you like expletives that is LOL:
