Hello, it’s WILD CARD WEEK! (btw, no rotation this week so CRISPY TOFU BALLS are SAVED and stay another week too… WOO HOO!)

And before you skim down and figure out which dish(es) we’re bringing in today, FYI the Pineapple Fried Rice is back in da HOUSE!

(now back to the WILD CARD WEEK deliciousness! ;D)

I guess you could also consider WILD CARD WEEK a DAILY SPECIALS week (or something like that) if you wanna be technical and be one of those people that likes to call us out in trying to simplify our cuteness or attitude (what you gotta be like that?? LOL)  All-in-all we’re playin’ around, having fun some oldies but goodies, and changing the dish every day or couple of days so you don’t have to wait 3 to 6 to 8 months for SOME dishes!  First up, the meaty fan fave: TAIWANESE FRIED PORK CHOP!

And there MIGHT also be a tiny stash of the SK KARA-GE (aka Japanese Popcorn Fried Chicken) too. I’m not including a picture assuming most will miss this lil bit of boring text! ;)

I’VE HEARD YOU’RE DOING GRAB-AND GO’S TEAM SK?!

Why yes we are “Bobby!” We’ve heard MANY a time that the biggest complaint is the line and/or wait time for our deliciousness.  After being barraged w/ that complaint for almost two years (TWO YEARS?!?!), “ach” we finally buckled, hunkered down (I just love that term for some reason ^_^) and figured out an answer. LOL  So we thought we’d do a simple “Grab-and-Go” concept (I gotta give it a cute SK name soon.. I dunno what though) to see if you guys are into that.  Simple idea:

1. you order
2. you pay (we hope) 
3. and (for those of you on a shorter lunch) you’re out!  No waiting for your dish to be made ^_^

We are JUST starting to beta/pilot-test it, so we won’t be making too many yet but if you guys like it.. we’ll do some special dishes JUST for the “Grab-and-Go” crowd.

For this week’s “Grab-and-Go” we wanted to keep it simple = LEMONGRASS CHICKEN banh mi + Spicy Vietnamese Salad

…and THAT’S it for today (that seems like a lot of info… oh well ^_^)

Ya know what Billy Idol “might” recommend that would be really good at a WHITE WEDDING?!?! BULGOGI BURGER meatballs mashed up GOOD over Pineapple Fried Rice. (I know, that’s the OBVIOUS answer) That’s what! haha^_^

Ya gots 3 more days to “mash it up GOOD” (if you like the BULGOGI BURGER that is). For anyone wondering, we are still trying to fix our staffing issues, but until then we just push forward (and hopefully not fuck up too much in the process LOL)

And if you’re really worried about us, just remember this… I wore THIS and lived to tell about it. If that isn’t a sign of perseverance and tenacity.. I dunno what is! LOL

You wouldn’t believe it, but a LONG time ago (actually, about a decade ago which IS a LOOOOONG time ago) I aspired to go into politics. Why? ‘Cause (if you haven’t had the “pleasure” of meet me yet LOL) I kinda likes to TALK (aka I posses “the gift of GAB!”) And with that said, I’m SURE this picture is gonna get me closer. And on a different note, assuming your boss isn’t a “Lumbergh” of a boss (hopefully not-so-inane Office Space reference there JUST in case you didn’t know), just remember that the movie Office Space does not only educate us about the inner workings of how to work together… but that NERDS can actually make money from being total nerds (like me!) from your inane knowledge from films like ummm… OFFICE SPACE!!!

So if you haven’t had it, or were a fool to follow my previous suggestions of the Banh Mi being the best… now’s the time to make up for lost time ‘cause man o’ man, I almost “busted a NUT” when I ate it like this. “FOR REAL!” ^_^

Something we found out early on when we tested it is that… you like PORK BELLY, and thus we’ve brought these tasty morsels back to the rotation

• we VALIDATE for our parking garage (both California Plaza garageson Olive between 2nd + 4th, 350 or 300) only if you get in before/by 7pm (EXACTLY). If you do, 2 hrs FREE!
• street parking is free on Grand after 8pm-I think street parking is free on Olive after 6pm-don’t forget you can park in YELLOW loading zones after 6pm (FREE on Sundays!)
•  you can also park at 4th+Hill (or near) for decent prices ($5 I think), and take the Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way) up
• or you can METRO to Pershing Square, and take the Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way) up
