Dinner is back… Vietnamese Egg Rolls are in (as of tonight)… this Saturday will be the LAST Saturday we have dinner service (the summer’s almost over!)…
and when you have a chance, I encourage all of us to please dress up as a Chicken Luchador and dance on top of bars (for money ^_^). It’s the new American past time… I KNOW IT!:

Okay okay… so it’s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we’re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it’s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I’m sure you do…

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn’t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn’t know it, we’re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best… is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “Now that I’m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.” But then you (pause) for a moment and I’m sure you THEN ask yourself:
“Why Team SK (who is o’ so wise and will never stop with the bloggin’ hilarity) should I go to this wonderous and magical event?”
Well fans (an average of 6.25 of ya out there now… YES!), here are a couple of my favorite reasons why:
we’re there (can I get a internet geek… w00t w00t!!)
it’s ALL-INCLUSIVE, so no more pesky fees once you get in (and pay for the tix online!)
we’re (as in the par-TAY) taking over the EFFIN ROSE BOWL BABEY!!! (yeah, we’re on the field!!!)
food, drink, ice cream, music and SK… what more could you want? (don’t answer that Chuck Norris… I’m warning you!!! ^_^)
and here’s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these…

Or in other words, “CRISPY F’ING TOFU BALLS my friends!”
We’re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya’ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span… now’s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL
We’re not making these again at the restaurant until around September (maybe even OCTOBER), so if you want ‘em… come and GET ‘EM! (and enjoy the other food while at the fest too, and feel free to show the other vendors your SK love… please?!?!).

Howdy PARDNERS!

Let’s start off simple: CRISPY TOFU BALLS for 1 more week… ONLY for Din Dins tonight+tomorrow. It will be a limited amount, so if you want some now and don’t want to wait until mid-end of Summer when we bring it back (btw, I have NO idea when.. I promise) now’s the time… CARPE DIEM!!! ^_^

Damn, so much going on, and I’m ALWAYS running late.

WELL, for all you Downtown Artwalk-ers… wanna come to SK for Din Dins and then swing on by. We’ll open tonight (I promise!).

Oh yeah, our hours have extended… just by a lil bit from 6p - 9.30p (ooooh… only 30 min later, I know! LOL). In addition to the menu on the left, you can eat ya some of tasty bad-boys:

Welcome back from Memorial Day weekend… this is the LAST week for the CRISPY TOFU BALLS!

So rather than “dilly-dally” (i.e. I’m running out of time again this AM to write any banter to bore you to death), here’s what’s going on:

For those that have eaten with us long enough, it MIGHT seem we’re in a pattern here (we followed the Japanese Meatball Curry with these last time too) I can assure you we are NOT! :)  We wanted to do a new beef dish, but unfortunately aren’t quite ready considering we had to make sure to get dinner going (as it is now… YAY!)

Yup, itza REALLY happening.  We’ll need to post better parking directions as it SEEMS people aren’t reading ‘em all, but yes dinner (THURS+FRI/6-9p) is most DEFINITELY on.. at least for most of the foreseeable summer.
DINE LA ROUNDTABLE TICKETS?!?!?
Last note, for any of you foodie fans that tried to get into DINE LA ROUNDTABLE event (that we happened to be catering ^_^), we’ve received TWO tickets to giveaway.  Still trying to figure out what to do, but the most popular answers on our Facebook Fan Page are: a dance-off OR drink-off!  
Not sure how we would do either one, but it would be fun and hilarious if we did!!!  Details to come out soon on how we do this, but Facebook’s probably the best place to check if you want updates. :)

Here’s a nice lil music video on a film I proudly worked on called WHITE ON RICE sung by our buddy Goh Nakamura (his singing is the DREAM-IEST!). Dear SK n00bs + fans + people that so obsessed with us that they are “discusted” (<- yeah, that’s an IN joke but come and ask about it.. I’ll tell ya more TEE HEE HEE) with us,
HOLY CRAAAAAAP! We can’t believe we’ve made it this far, but WTH!   We gonna F’ SH-T up some mo’ (and by “F’ SH-T up” I obviously mean serve  some deliciously mouthwatering Pan-Asian comfort dishes for public  *NOM*sumption LOL ^_^) and serve some din dins…

Before we get into any details (if you decided to  read THIS far)… PARKING!!!
Here are some tips:
we do VALIDATE for our parking garage (California  Plaza garage on Olive between 2nd + 4th) only if you get in by 7pm  (EXACTLY). If you do, 2 hrs FREE!
street parking is free on Grand and near after  8pm -I think street parking is free on Olive after 6pm
you can also park at 4th+Hill (or near) for  decent prices ($5 I think), and take the Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way)  up
or you can METRO to Pershing Square, and take the  Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way) up   
When  in doubt, feel free to call the restaurant: 213.617.3474.
So for those that have been: you can finally share with your spouses, friends and  potential Facebook hook-ups you’ve been tantalizing with stories of  culinary merriment at Starry Kitchen (hopefully).. our food!

OH, if I haven’t mentioned… we’ve brought back MALAYSIAN CHICKEN CURRY just for DIN DINS ONLY!

I’m sure some of you that are new are like, “WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ANYWAY?” To that I’ll say, “I DUNNO!” We’re just trying to have fun doing what we’re doing- no more, no less.  As long as we enjoy the food and we’re having fun, and hopefully enjoying with you and having fun together… that’s ALL that counts (we hope you won’t be a D-bag and agree us here LOL)

Before we get into any details (if you decided to read THIS far)… PARKING!!!

Here are some tips:

  • we do VALIDATE for our parking garage (California Plaza garage on Olive between 2nd + 4th) only if you get in by 7pm (EXACTLY). If you do, 2 hrs FREE!
  • street parking is free on Grand and near after 8pm -I think street parking is free on Olive after 6pm
  • you can also park at 4th+Hill (or near) for decent prices ($5 I think), and take the Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way) up
  • or you can METRO to Pershing Square, and take the Angel’s Flight ($.25 each way) up   
  • When in doubt, feel free to call the restaurant: 213.617.3474.

So for those that have been: you can finally share with your spouses, friends and potential Facebook hook-ups you’ve been tantalizing with stories of culinary merriment at Starry Kitchen (hopefully).. our food!

Dinner is back&#8230; Vietnamese Egg Rolls are in (as of tonight)&#8230; this Saturday will be the LAST Saturday we have dinner service (the summer&#8217;s almost over!)&#8230;

Okay okay&#8230; so it&#8217;s the last (lunch wk) for the LEMONGRASS TOFU, Dinner (aka Din Dins) is back on tonight (Th-Sat/6-9.30p folks!), coming back w/ tasty companions BRAISED VIETNAMESE BEEF (aka BO KHO) and we&#8217;re bringing back the SK Mac+Cheese(+Bacon) with all it&#8217;s shitake mushroom, jalapeno, fried shallots and did I mention BACON goodness. Ya got that? I&#8217;m sure you do&#8230;

With that outta the way, you mighta noticed this large light blue pic above (thx for letting me steal it from your site Shawna.. please!?!?!).. that didn&#8217;t happen by accident (maybe). And if you didn&#8217;t know it, we&#8217;re one of the 60 BEST vendors attending this BADASS event. (and we might be at the bottom of the barrel, but being the worst of the best&#8230; is still one of the best.. right??? ^_^).
I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;re asking yourself, &#8220;Now that I&#8217;m bored, what kind of other nonsensical funny stuff can I find on YouTube since Team SK has nothing interesting to say.&#8221; But then you (pause) for a moment and I&#8217;m sure you THEN ask yourself:
&#8220;Why Team SK (who is o&#8217; so wise and will never stop with the bloggin&#8217; hilarity) should I go to this wonderous and magical event?&#8221;
Well fans (an average of 6.25 of ya out there now&#8230; YES!), here are a couple of my favorite reasons why:
we&#8217;re there (can I get a internet geek&#8230; w00t w00t!!)
it&#8217;s ALL-INCLUSIVE, so no more pesky fees once you get in (and pay for the tix online!)
we&#8217;re (as in the par-TAY) taking over the EFFIN ROSE BOWL BABEY!!! (yeah, we&#8217;re on the field!!!)
food, drink, ice cream, music and SK&#8230; what more could you want? (don&#8217;t answer that Chuck Norris&#8230; I&#8217;m warning you!!! ^_^)
and here&#8217;s my last reason for those of you that are craving, wanting or dying to have these&#8230;

Or in other words, &#8220;CRISPY F&#8217;ING TOFU BALLS my friends!&#8221;
We&#8217;re making 2,000+ of these crispy green bad boys (betta recognize ya&#8217;ll!), and if you ever wanted to gorge on a tofu ball as child or sometime in your very strange life span&#8230; now&#8217;s the TIME CHOCKOS! LOL
We&#8217;re not making these again at the restaurant until around September (maybe even OCTOBER), so if you want &#8216;em&#8230; come and GET &#8216;EM! (and enjoy the other food while at the fest too, and feel free to show the other vendors your SK love&#8230; please?!?!).

Hey foodie fans,
YUP, that&#8217;s us and Susan Feniger. We met her last night at the Dine LA Chef&#8217;s Roundtable (among many others), and she&#8217;s just as sweet and as personable as we all think she is from TV, pictures and other stuff.  We *HEART* SUSAN (especially &#8216;cause you liked our Crispy Tofu Balls LOL).
HUGE Thanks goes out to Carrie Kommers of Dine LA.. we EFFIN *HEART* you too for inviting us to cater this. It was a WHOLE lotta fun to feed and meet tons of other foodies, aspiring chefs and&#8230; well REAL chefs too!

For those that have eaten with us long enough, it MIGHT seem we&#8217;re in a pattern here (we followed the Japanese Meatball Curry with these last time too) I can assure you we are NOT! :)  We wanted to do a new beef dish, but unfortunately aren&#8217;t quite ready considering we had to make sure to get dinner going (as it is now&#8230; YAY!)

Yup, itza REALLY happening.  We&#8217;ll need to post better parking directions as it SEEMS people aren&#8217;t reading &#8216;em all, but yes dinner (THURS+FRI/6-9p) is most DEFINITELY on.. at least for most of the foreseeable summer.
DINE LA ROUNDTABLE TICKETS?!?!?
Last note, for any of you foodie fans that tried to get into DINE LA ROUNDTABLE event (that we happened to be catering ^_^), we&#8217;ve received TWO tickets to giveaway.  Still trying to figure out what to do, but the most popular answers on our Facebook Fan Page are: a dance-off OR drink-off!  
Not sure how we would do either one, but it would be fun and hilarious if we did!!!  Details to come out soon on how we do this, but Facebook&#8217;s probably the best place to check if you want updates. :)

CHICKEN..EFFIN..CURRRRRRRRRY (it&#8217;s really F-CKING GOOD).  And my favorite way to have it&#8230; with CoCo RICE of course.  And my second favorite way (you did ask me that, right??), is this way served w/ a Curry Au Jus (uh huuuuuuh&#8230;. auuuu juuuuus):
