BREAKING NEWS: Next week we are VEGETARIAN-friendly! WOO HOO

This image is just a tidbit, a morsel if you will, of additional info. If you can’t tell, they’re deep fried chunks of silky smooth tofu. It’s so silky smooth I wish I could make like pajamas outta this stuff… it ‘so nice! I love me some silky tofu!

This isn’t even why it’s veggie friendly, but rest assured that “rabbit food” ain’t the solution either. I promise- my old friend in college was a Vegan… so we knows a thing or two about veggie AND vegan friendly! And hey, we’re kinda no body right now so we at Starry Kitchen gotta shoot for the stars (“WHOOOOOSH”)

So, this next time out it’s going to be Japanese and Vegetarian.

In the mean time, don’t forget to become a Facebook Fan (‘Starry Kitchen’), follow us on Twitter (@starrykitchen) and check out our blog often. If you’re on tumblr, please follow us there too. And if you don’t know what tumblr is, check it out at tumblr.com. It’s a pretty sweet blog interface, very user-friendly and tumble-riffic!

And since I’m just playing with tumblr to understand it all, I’m going to play with this “Let people answer this” feature. And please do answer.

BREAKING NEWS (beep beep beep): ABOVE is what we’re going to serve on Sunday (in a taco, burrito or sandwich still). What is it? Sorry, can’t tell ya or Thi Tran, KITCHEN NINJA will k-k-k-KILL me! Plus, Starry Kitchen share the same first two rules of FIGHT CLUB about the secrecy of our food (w/ 100% LESS bruises and visits to the ER… (beep) “paging Dr. Clooney. Dr. Clooney, we need you in the Fabulous Food Ward.. STAT”).

But let me clarify, (ahem) please please PLEASE do talk up, tweet, post, IM and even megaphone home Starry Kitchen to your friends+family. You can definitely TALK about Starry Kitchen, and social network grass roots is definitely the way to spread the word! We’re just going to keep surprising you with our dishes ‘cause it’s bunches o’ wholesome family-friendly fun. “THANKS BEAV!”

So again, it’s late, and I’m sure people are getting tired of my non-sensical psycho-babble for one week (plus peeps in LA are all consumed with Laker-mania too). So I will go ahead and unveil the latest gem from the Starry Kitchen Marketing Dept. that has stemmed from countless hours of research, demographic study, conceptual design, multiple focus groups sessions and mass consumption of alcoholic refreshment. Please allow me to bestow on to you, our loyal and accidental readers, the TRANSFORMERS TACO TYRANT ad:

From FlyersWHEW, the pressure’s off and that’s over with now (the unveiling, not Starry Kitchen… MR. CHUCK NORRIS… arrrrrrrgh!). I was going to save this for my non-sensical industry/film biz blog, but damnit I can’t hold back my inner NERD. Oh boy oh boy, here is another pic of those very same Transformers (transformed!!!) including a better frame of reference of how big Scorponok is compared to his Constructicon companion. And yes, if Transforming robots could eat anything but energon cubes (you didn’t think I KNEW what they consume, huh… they even get DRUNK on ‘em too! haha), they would eat Starry Kitchen branded Asian Mexi-Mix tacos and would send their Orson Welles voiced planet destroyer Transformer (Unicron) if anything got in their way. Trust me… it ain’t a pretty picture either!

From Blog PicsAlrighty, that’s all I have now. Since I’m on a Transformers kick…HERE YA GO!:

Here’s our first post, and why not start out with a semi-natural pose of two of our neighbors (also from Texas… YEE HAW) given the obligatory ‘THUMBS UP’… if they don’t, “NO TACOS FOR YOU!”

In all seriousness, we’re really excited about pursuing this and just wanted to start on a positive note. We’re going to be tweaking this page a bit. Please be patient while we not only prepare some great combinations of Asian / Mexican cuisine you’ve never had before, but while we develop our marketing and internet presence.

We would like to thank Kogi BBQ and now Don Chow for helping pave the way here in LA. It’s a great city to try and create new concoctions and combinations of cuisines and food. No other place (outside of NYC of course) like it. Plus we feel there’s more than enough room for all of us to share and contribute. May we all meet up some day for an Asian Mexi Mix Summit.

You can follow us on Twitter @starrykitchen AND become a fan on Facebook ‘Starry Kitchen’. Hopefully, I can figure out how to incorporate the badges for both so you don’t hafta remember.

Peace,

Team Starry Kitchen (“Whoooooosh” - which is the sound of either a comet traveling right past ya or a shooting star… we’re aiming for the shooting star in this case ^_^)
