Will the New Wave hits ever die?!?! (since the era DID end, I guess they will eventually, right?)
Well, when you have a chance, check out this LITERAL version of HEAD OVER HEELS. Not NEARLY as Ninja-tastic as the TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART (Literal Version), but still good stuff.. and as always, New Wave just makes Pan-Asian comfort food taste… a lil better! ^_^
But anyway, thank GOODNESS the “culturally-confused” (as someone put it the other day) NEBRASKA ANGUS JAPANESE MEATBALL CURRY is back in all it’s saucy glory!
As I mention to people in the restaurant, it’s the FIRST dish to THREE-PEAT on the menu. Maybe not quite as monumental of a feat as scaling Mt. Everest, but it could ALMOST be considering on who you ask (ooooh ooooh… ask me, ask me!)
In other news (because you read this far and I might as well fill this space), we checked out the newest of the newest last night: TEST KITCHEN LA helmed by many of our friends but specifically our Man of Mo-Chica Mad-delicioness- Ricardo Zarate. It’s a permanent kitchen to house a rotating pop-up of chefs and Chef Zarate’s night was light night. Pretty cool, and it was pretty delicious. Reservations are already freakin’ being scooped up by people not even KNOWING who’s going to come in now. Guess this is the new hottest ticket in town (if you ask me I’d like to think the JAPANESE MEATBALL CURRY is a close 2nd hottest ticket in that-there-town LOL).
