Holy CRAP.. why didn’t I know there were PIRATES (or actually just A pirate) in this video?!?! Either way, Happy New Wave Wednesday!! (and I think I’m going to change the unofficial slogan to New Wave AND Pirates make Pan-Asian Comfort taste better… arrrrrrRRRRR!)

I’ve come to realize that I actually have not seen a LOT of the videos for the songs I love and grew up with… probably because I didn’t have cable (i.e. MTV when the ‘M’ used to stand for “Music” ^_^) growing up. Well watch this video, it’s hilarious.

In other SK related news.. seems like a nice chunk of ya really like the new veggie dish: SWEET + SPICY GINGER FRIED TOFU! That’s always nice to hear, and I just thought I’d share that short exchange I had with someone yesterday so you know you TOO could enjoy it just in case you’re “scared” or “think” you don’t like tofu, ‘cause you might! Plus it’s gonna leave in the next couple of weeks… but I’m just saying! :)

And if you’ve been in the last couple of days, you might have notice we’re running out of banh mi sandwiches. I dunno WHAT’S happening, but I do know I bought more yesterday and we STILL ran out. Sorry ‘bout that, and let’s see if we can fix that today (because I have wanted a BULGOGI BURGER banh mi w/ delicious minced kimchi after work EVERY DAY this week and I can’t get one either! LOL)

ANNIVERSARY!?!?!?!

Ahhhh.. the great thing about the internet and social media, I can rant/babble there and a lot of our fans/friends see it rather than me tell everyone individually, ‘cause I don’t have the energy for that… okay, I DO but I’m just saying it’s a nice tool to use, m’kay?!?! Well lookie what our friends did for us since we were too busy to barely remember and do anything ourselves. They got us a cake from Susina Bakery… YAY! (and let me tell you, that cake was F’ING TASTY.. so tasty I’m gonna eat a slice for breakfast before I leave for work. No joke! ^_^)

And if you have indeed read/skimmed this far (or was trying to skip this post to see if any of the previous are possibly more interesting ^_^), looks like the wedding pics were kinda popular yesterday so I thought I’d share another “slice of cheese” that we’re proud of here. OR more specifically the Kitchen Ninja asked me, “Why didn’t you post this one??? This one’s far more hilarious!” (which it is at least equally hilarious)

And if I had time, I would take a fan’s suggestion on our Facebook Fan Page and photoshop in some CRISPY TOFU BALLS… but alas, I actually DON’T have that much free time so I’ll save that for a later date (because it’s a damn fine suggestion!)

Holy CRAP! This couple right here is in LA for 1 night.. 1 NIGHT on a west coast tour for their 10 year wedding anniversary from Charlotte, NC! And they found us on Yelp and just KNEW (for some crazy reason) they had to eat here at SK.

And ya know what, that’s EFFING AWESOME!

WHOA.. there’s a lot of stuff that goes on in the month of November for us:

1. Our 1 year anniversary of being found by the Health Department is coming up (more on that LATER!)
2. My birthday is this month *cough* November 25 *cough*
3. This is actually the month we adopted the one, the only GQ 9 years ago (back in TX babey!!)
4. We ALSO got married on this month 2 years ago (11/15/08), and our wedding anniversary was YESTERDAY… and we both COMPLETELY forgot about it (because #PhoNight R&D happened to be more important to us last night, which went well by the way ^_^)

SO, if you’re still wondering what this cheesy (& AWESOME) picture is, it’s from our wedding album of pics we took in Taiwan. So if your favorite thing in the world is to get a glimpse into our personal lives (*SNOOOOORE* & BOOOOORING!!), then here you go.

Short anectdote: that prom-like baby blue suit was NOT my choice. I COULD share an embarrassingly closer look at the suit that the Kitchen Ninja picked ONLY because it was FREE… and if you’re still reading, WTH here ya go:

SORRY we ran out of the “CRACK” KRAB CAKES & banh mi bread so early yesterday. WOW, we didn’t expect it, but we’re gonna stock up and CHALLENGE (or politely ask.. whatever you prefer) you to try again today!

And I guess when it’s the last week for the “CRACK” KRAB, Basil Fried Rice & also the FREE 4sq check-in drink-foolery.. that’s to be expected (DOH!)

Now, I DIDN’T propose to the KITCHEN NINJA this way (i.e. the ring on the sushi), BUT as I mentioned before TODAY is actually our 1 Year Anniversary.  And what better way to spend it than with… YOU!  And that might sound sarcastic, but it isn’t (even though most of the time I am being VERY sarcastic).
